Need Video Card for old computer! PLEASE!?

Okay I own an old computer a Compaq Presario 7462 with 320 MB of SDRAM, 500 MHz AMD-K6 processor and a 10GB Maxtor HDD. According to my specification sheet I have a

Integrated 2X AGP 3D Graphics Integrated 64-bit hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. BUT I JUST FOUND OUT i have PCI slots on the motherboard Im confused on which video card to buy. When I attempt to play videos on youtube for example it's really choppy and laggy. In addition ads load kind of slow and lag a bit 2wo. I would like to know what video card you would recommend and if It is the video card at all. PLEASE HELP WOULD APPRECIATE IT!|||These cards should work. Take you pick.

http://www.geeks.com/products_sc.asp?cat…|||i would not spend money on a 100-150$ video card by the sounds of it you have a very old computer my buddy once had a computer with on 92 mb of ram in it it coulnt even play video i would say to buy a new computer you can get a botem of the line dell for around $250 if you like.|||ok what you need is is more memory and faster proessor agp 8x non integrated video card would be right for you probably try ati raedon 1650 diamond or nivida geforce agp better than pci|||If there is no AGP slot onboard you are going to be out of luck.

An integrated video card is only part of the problem on your computer. The video card takes the load off the processor when playing a video, but doesn't play the video by itself. An integrated video card takes off less load than a dedicated video card.

Yes, a new video card may help but if all you have is regular PCI slots buying a new card is not going to be cost effective and PCI video cards aren't that great anyways.

If you just wanted to watch DIVX or AVI downloads my advice would be to get a conversion program and convert them to VCD (or regular MPEG1) and then watch them. The VCD codec is not demanding on the CPU and can run quite nicely on an AMD 500Mhz. However, DIVX and youtube video's use higher compression which requires more CPU power to decode which isn't going to work well with your AMD.

Using an older version of Windows Media player like version 6.4 may also help. It uses less system resources to run leaving more resources for the computer to play the video

Sorry, but your system just isn't up to standard to do what you want it to do. If you have $130 or so I could recommend a way to get things up and running but other than that your out of luck|||Well first buy some ram and second this is the list of graphic card ports from oldest to newest (newer is better of course).

pci

agp

pci-e

so if you have pci and agp get agp but if you have pci-e go for that.I dont think u have pci-e :p

for comp parts go to ncix.com|||Videos lagging on youtube can be because of a slow internet connection. I'd just look at walmart and buy the cheapest video card they have.
